In general, the first person you will meet at Southside Hearing Center is the Office Manager, Kathy Brady.

Kathy has a Bachelor's degree in Management Science from SUNY Geneseo, and an MBA in Human Resources and Management Skills from SUNY at Buffalo. Kathy has worked for larger companies' Human Resource Departments in the past, but she prefers small office intimacy. Kathy has worked at Southside Hearing Center for 6 years. She is the one responsible for scheduling, billing, office communications, and bookkeeping. Kathy keeps the office running!

Next you will meet the audiologists…

Dr. Sue DeBruyne (pronounced "De Brine") is a Doctor of Audiology, licensed in NY, and registered to dispense hearing aids. She is the owner/founder/proprietor of Southside Hearing Center, and the chief audiologist. Dr. Sue has her Doctorate in Audiology from University of Florida, 2001; her Master's degree in Audiology from SUNY at Buffalo 1994, and her Bachelor's degree in Communicative Disorders and Sciences also from SUNY at Buffalo, 1992. Dr. Sue is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology, and holds her Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association. She has worked for multi-physician ENT Groups, other private audiologists, SUNY Geneseo's Speech and Hearing Department as a clinic supervisor, and for the Rochester City School District in the past. She even has past retail experience.

Janet Takats is a NYS licensed audiologist and registered hearing aid dispenser also. Janet has her Master of Science degree in Audiology from Gallaudet University, 1990; and her Bachelor's Degree in Education from SUNY College at Buffalo, 1988. Janet is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology, and holds her Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association. She has worked at Children's Hospital in Buffalo, for multi-physician ENT groups, and for public clinics in her past. Janet is fluent in sign language.
